And I am so glad I did! This monitor is the best I have ever tried and I have tried a lot. The set up is so easy. I love how the parent device and camera already come paired, which makes life so much easier. The screen is so clear and the audio is so crisp.
And I love how I can move the camera in any direction just in case my baby moves. I also love the feature where I can talk back to calm my baby down.

The movement pad works great, exactly 20 seconds after I pick up my baby it will start alerting me there is no movement if I don't remember to pause the monitor. I love the 2 way talk feature, and absolutely LOVE that it features the temp on the camera. It was super easy to set up, and very easy to use the monitor and its features. In addition, the touch screen didn't always work well. But once I figured out how to setup the monitor, I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoy the sound sensitivity, the parent talk back feature, and the room temperature display.
The image is pretty clear and the sensor really does give me peace of mind (now that I know how to use it). The temperature setting was great and I loved that I could see that feature from the monitor. The camera was user friendly, the picture was crisp, and you can set everything from the wireless monitor. We also got to see how much movement our baby boy had which is a fantastic feature. One con of this monitor was that you have to pause the Sensor pad or it will go off, sometimes in the middle of the night we forgot. We did learn soon after that! Having a new pool put in recently and having a tiny baby, it's definitely given us a peace a mind when we are outside and she's quietly sleeping in the house. We can not only hear her but see her without having to come in and out, disturbing her sleep, just to check on her. I also love that you can shut the motion monitor off so we can use it when she's in her swing.
The only negative would be that the range doesn't go too far in a larger house like ours. But it's definitely been great for what we need it for!

I recently received the Angelcare AC517 movement and video baby monitor, as a part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel. I was a bit apprehensive on trying it out, I was an avid 'co-sleeper' parent with my son when he was younger, and we had started to co-sleep with our newest addition. When we received the monitor, it was easy to set-up, and I loved all the features (ie, touch screen, movement pad sensitivity, 2-way talk). My daughter slept perfectly in her crib and has since! I sleep with comfort with comfort, knowing that this monitor will alert me if anything went wrong.

The picture is great, audio is clear and night vision is good. I like the touch screen on the parent console and love that it shows the temperature of room! You can easily hang from wall or use stand. Which ever is better for set up of room.
The one thing I found slightly troublesome was set up of sensor pad. We couldn't figure out initially how to pause it for more than 20 seconds and the directions that came with it were not very clear. With some digging we did figure it out. I love the feature of the temperature display on the camera as well as the monitor.
I also love that you could set the sensitivity sound and movement when using the pad. The size of the screen was also a plus and it was very clear and not grainy like my other monitor. The only thing I didn't like was the sensor pad gave a couple false alarms and would also alarm in the babies room waking them up. Other than that I feel like this is a great monitor. Yes, you can adjust the High and Low temperatures by going into the ‘Settings’ option in the Menu and selecting the ‘Thermometer’ icon.
Next, select the ‘Alarm’ icon where you can set your desired High / Low temperatures. Note that when the alarm feature is activated, you will hear an audible tone alert and see an alert icon on your Parent Unit to indicate when the temperature is too warm or too cool according to these temperature settings.Keep in mind the suggested room temperatures for babies in North America (as per parents.com) is between 65°F and 70°F. Your monitor is programmed to sense movement the instant it is connected to a power source or batteries are placed in it – regardless of whether the Sensor Pad is plugged into the Camera or not. Therefore, if no movement is detected, the alarm will emit loud beeps in rapid succession 20 seconds later.
To stop the alarm from sounding, go into the ‘Settings’ option of the Menu, select the Sensor Pad icon and turn the Sensor Pad off while you complete the set-up. Important: Remember to turn the Sensor Pad back on when you have completed the set-up. This has given us peace of mind since we moved our little one out of the bassinet in our room to the crib in her own room. We have been using it for about a month and have not had any false alarms yet. I know it works because if I pickup baby before turning the sensor off the alarm sounds. The only con so far is that there is a constant humming and clicking noise through the parent monitor.
It's most noticeable at night as we lay in bed. I have read this is common on some models and we have yet to find a fix for it- we have tried changing channels, disconnecting wifi in the house and moving cell phones further away from the device. My son was having trouble with Apnoea attacks at the hospital so we bought it as a precaution. It works amazingly.
Only issue we have is sometimes the parents model will make a loud fuzzy noise but it only happens rarely and I think it has to do with it being to far away from the baby monitor part (did it on one side of our room doesn't seem to when moved to closer to the baby's room(so the other side of our room). It's easy to use, has great detail on the parents monitor (temp of baby's room, a little metronome (like a clock one) that shows baby is moving and the pad is sensing it). The LCD lights stopped working a few months after we started using it. So we couldn't use any of the functions that make this such an expensive monitor. Unable to purchase a new one we continued using the monitor without any functions except sound. Then static noises started happening and couldn't be fixed because the monitor screens don't work. Less than 2 years after we unwrapped our monitor we've had no choices but to get rid of it. DO NOT use monitor with two or more babies, even if they are in the same crib, as the monitor will continue to pick up movement even if one of the babies has stopped moving. You need to install a separate system in a different crib for each baby.
You must then set each system to a different channel to avoid interference. Furthermore, we DO NOT recommend using two AC201 or two AC1100 in the same house as you may experience interference.
Instead, we recommend one movement & sound monitor (AC401, AC1100, AC601) plus one movement-only monitor (AC300) for twins, and two movement-only monitors in the case of triplets. Should you decide to use two AC401 monitors in the same room, one monitor needs to be programmed to movement only and the other to sound and movement. IMPORTANT: Furthermore, please note that both Sensor Pads included in the AC401 Deluxe Plus kit cannot be used separately to monitor twins, as they are joined by a cord under the mattress. Your Nursery Unit is pre-programmed to sense movement (and sound) the moment it is connected to a power source or batteries are put in it – regardless if the Sensor Pad is plugged into the Nursery Unit or not.
Therefore, if no movement is detected, the alarm will emit one short beep after 15 seconds, followed by loud beeps in rapid succession 5 seconds later. To stop the alarm from sounding, turn off the Nursery Unit (using the Power ON/OFF in the back of the left wing), and connect the Sensor Pad (if not already connected).
