Ps3 Service Mode Jig Files - Download Free Apps

03.10.2019by admin

But to see how to setup your NAND flasher and what apps to use to read and write, I suggest using this guide. And never downgrade to a firmware lower than what came on your PS3 when you bought it new. 1)Are your files the same with those on e3 homepage or should i download them?

A while ago we posted about a partial RSOD fix for your console through a.pup solution. PS3 scene developer CrashSerious has released a full and complete fix for the RSOD issue.

The author of this fix has made this through the open source dev kit known as PSL1GHT. To quote: RSODfix Lv2diag tool Last week someone found the.Proof of Concept.

(POC) PUP/app in the wiki, awesome– people are looking in the wiki! But the dev who put it there, did so as a POC and hadn’t intended for it to be released yet because it required you to be able to install a pkg and run apps something you couldn’t do necessarily if you were RSOD. Now, we present you with the FULL and COMPLETE solution! Now, Fixing the Red Screen Of Death (RSOD) could not be any easier with this new tool! There have been methods in the past that accomplished the same goal, but certainly the difficulty of use hindered many from successfully recovering their beloved console. As a further commitment to you never needing a dongle again, we bring you this release to work in conjunction with our second release.

“Look ma, no dongle!” Usage: —— Place this Lv2diag.self in the root of an empty USB flash dongle, and use any method to toggle Factory Service Mode (FSM) (We’re partial to the second release we make today, but you can decide for yourself). Copy the.self in this release to the root of a USB flash drive.

Rename the file to Lv2diag.self. Place the flash drive in the right most USB port. During FSM boot, the Lv2diag.self will execute. Upon success, you will hear a single beep, and the playstation3 will automatically reboot to XMB. Upon failure, you will hear one or more beeps, and the playstation3 will shutdown. If you experience a failure, its likely due to your FLASH being corrupt beyond repair or a hardware problem, try it again– but if repeated attempts at these easy instructions still yield no results The outlook looks grim.

Information: ———— The RSOD is caused by a section of FLASH becoming corrupt, this tool causes that corrupt section to be recreated. During creation of this tool, the open-source ps3toolchain, and a slightly modified makeself were utilized. All code is original and makes use of no previously released or copyrighted code, this Lv2diag.self is made 100% with the PSL1GHT SDK so it can be shared freely and without concern for breaking any laws in your country. So, “no sony code inside!” FAQ: Note: If you have a flasher, and you use this tool be aware that with the RSOD lv2diag changes cvtrm.

If you have a flasher and you use this, you need to make a new image, in fact, its a guarantee that your old flash images are no longer usable. Make new ones! Using an OLD flash image will.CAUSE. RSOD. Additionally, peruser/perconsole information will be reset so old trophies and savedata will not work but that’s a small price to pay for getting your console recovered. Q: Why two releases? A: Because they can be used independently and future plans are for more specific Lv2Diag.self’s to do different tasks to be released.

We didn’t want there to be any confusion over what files to put together and how to use the separate tools. Q: I’m having problems help!!!!?!?!?!? A: Post the contents of the factory.txt, which is stored on the root of the USB flash drive where you put Lv2Diag.self, along with a detailed explanation and we will try to help you out. Without the contents of the factory.txt file we will not be able to help.

Q: Why didn’t you just name the release.self file Lv2diag.self and save us a step? A: We intend to release more fun tools for you at some point, this just helps you keep them straight from the start. Before when one wanted to remarry their BD Drive, they needed to downgrade their console to 3.50, but thankfully due to an awesome anonymous person/persons, this can now be accomplished on firmware 3.55, here is a quote from the source: Remarry guide for 3.55 firmware 1. Have the console on a working 3.55 firmware 2. Download the Remarry files (remarry-3.55.rar) and unpack to root of USM Mass Storage device.

The following line is already changed from 1 to 0: #——————————————— # Install Systemsoftware # 0 = sȂ # 1 = s #———————————————- 0 This will make sure the drive init PUP is not installed, thus preventing RLOD because of syscon hashes on downgraded consoles. Download official firmware. Crashserious is on a roll today, releasing a PS3 app to set jailbroken PS3s to service mode/factory mode without the need of a JIG stick. This method simplifies those who wish to downgrade their PS3s easily via PKG.

To quote: Look Ma, No Downgrade Dongle In keeping with our Red Valentines theme this month we release another red themed app. Tonight, in our second release we bring you a second handy app that continues our commitment to the removal or the need for ANY dongles. A simple app that should likely make it into everyone’s PS3 tool set. An XMB application that places the PS3 into factory service mode. Now, You can now throw away that downgrade dongle!

Also, as an added bonus we’ve included CEX and DEX versions of the pkg. Psgrade was ported to all sorts of devices, even calculators none of those external devices are needed any longer!

You may now re-purpose them! Usage: —— When you run the app it will beep once and reboot if successful. Three beeps indicates a failure, report the contents of factory.txt in this thread for help.

(Factory.txt will save to the USB flash if you put on in the right most USB port of the PS3.) At this point you will come back up in Factory Service Mode (FSM). Place the Lv2Diag.self on the USB the Lv2diag.self will perform its intended purpose automatically. So be aware of that feature should you not be expecting the PS3 to boot back into the non-FSM XMB.

This app will not work on any of the “reDRM” firmwares, aka Cobra or TrueBlue CFW. Install the appropriate pkg for your system; FactoryServiceMode.gnpdrm.pkg for CEX and FactoryServiceMode.pkg for DEX. Run the app and listen for the beeps, you should enter FSM automatically. Place the desired Lv2Diag.self files on the root of a USB flash drive, ensuring they are named Lv2diag.self. The one included with this release simply exits FSM. Do NOT use the RSOD Lv2Diag released earlier unless you have RSOD.

Place the USB Flash Drive in the right most USB port of the PS3. Restart the PS3. When it boots up, you will be out of FSM. Enjoy sticking it to the dongle makers in your own little way.

Information: ———— The app detects the firmware you are running on so it should work on all the firmwares supported by “one” previously. (3.15, 3.41, and 3.55. Basically, Ones that are lower than 3.56.) During creation of this tool, the open-source ps3toolchain, and a slightly modified makeself were utilized. All code is original and makes use of no previously released or copyrighted code, this Lv2diag.self is made 100% with the PSL1GHT SDK so it can be shared freely and without concern for breaking any laws in your country. So, “no sony code inside!” FAQ: Q: Can I use this with the RSOD fix self you released earlier?

A: You should only use the RSOD fix Lv2Diag.self to repair a RSOD PS3. Use the suplied Lv2diag.self packaged with this release to simply get out of service mode.

Q: I get a 80010505 error in factory.txt on the USB drive sometimes. A: We noticed this on one Phat CECHG system in testing. But could not replicate it on other PS3’s and it only occured after the initial run from a power on of the PS3. In this case, every time we ran it a second time the application worked with out fail. Try again and post the factory.txt if the problem persists.

Q: Could you have made this just a little easier to use? PS3 developer CrashSerious released a new tool called Unsig.

This tool can be used to decrypt and re-crypt SIG files that are floating around the net. As an extra bonus CrashSerious also has a message for the community. CrashSerious explains what it does: Good Day everyone, This time I figured I’d release something I’ve had a while but didn’t think it would be useful to anyone. However, several people I mentioned it to were quite interested in the tool, so I figured I’d bring it out as a release. I’ll be honest, I have ulterior motives We used the last month’s winnings to purchase Cobra dongles for the entire team. This month, we’re planning on using the donation (should you decide this is worthy to vote for) to purchase flasher’s to protect our PS3’s from a Cobra/TB brick. This release is a tool that will decrypt (and then also re-encrypt) the SIG files that were leaked in the CEX-DEX packages earlier this year and also the files released by an0nymous a month or so ago.

The SIG files have not gotten a lot of attention, maybe because no one could read them. However, that’s about to change. Why should you care about this release? Because the SIG files are a list of instructions for the objective suites application to interface to the lv2diag.self files that were leaked with the previous Objective Suites stuff.

Very low level stuff, for the most part, that will actually let you modify settings in the PS3 firmware. With the proper information (the piece that math has kept to himself), CEX to DEX conversions are not only possible– but are a reality. Things like reading (and writing) the ECID, IDPS, KIBANID, and console serial number just to name a few.

Basically, it’s a very low level trusted connection that is made and the PS3 does what you ask it to via Objective Suites. How do I use this? To un-SIG—- In the unsig tab, select “Open SIG File” and the file’s encrypted contents will be loaded and displayed in the first text box. Then Select “Decypher” and the Decyphered text will be displayed in the second. It will also create an Microsoft Excel readable (and editable) file in the same folder with “.XLS” added as an extension. To Re-SIG—- In the resig tab, follow the same exact process as above except select the xls file. The process works the same, except the file saved as a “.SIG” extension on it.

Keep in mind, while this tool will create a valid SIG file that Objective Suites.CAN. use. It should initially be used as a tool to learn more about the SIG file format. If you find something useful in reversing the SIG files, do me a favor— put it in the wiki and give back to the scene, would ya? You can start off by looking here - What we were attempting to convey last month is that, honestly, people need to work together more. No one person is going to break the PS3 wide open. GeoHot, didn’t do it by himself.

Kakaroto, won’t by himself. And neither will math. It’s time to work together as a collective group, and not as a bunch of disfunctional individuals.

Together we are strong, separately we are just weak. ONE FINAL NOTE: the last release of Objective Suites that an0nymous leaked had a trojan in it— BE AWARE and BEWARE!! I know ps3hax released a cleaned one and the first release was virus free. Make sure you get that one if you run the Objective Suites application.

HOWEVER, the SIG files in the An0nymous release are new and of value to the scene. Source: Download. Beta brick fixing This is a beta tool.

It has only be tested on otheros nand bricks and some pup updater file errors. This hasn’t been 100% tested, though we’re looking for people to try it to see what bricks it will actually fix. Put both files into the root directory of a flash drive. Put the dongle into the ps3 while it is off and start it. If the flash drive is activated it can be fixed using this. If it however does not, the only fix for it until a software side is found is a hardware flasher. Please note this will ONLY work on 3.55 and lower, and in only a small amount of cases.

English Version for international blogs, greetz from Italy -Google Translate sucks- (and my english too sorry ) Today i’ll write a tutorial to “fast-swap” between CFW 3.55 and OFW 3.70, using 2 HDDs at the end of the tutorial, you i’ll be able to swap between the firmware just flashing a dump on your PS3 using Progskeet. (instead of downgrading and loosing all data). The first steps are not so easy, so take your time and go on, by the way, you must have some skill with Progskeet, and it must be 100% working on your console. What we need:. PS3 Slim running with FW 3.70.

2 Hard Disks. Progskeet installed and working on your PS3 Slim. Downgrade.bin edited with your personal data (there are tons of tutorials for do this). 3.55 Downgrade Dongle to do the downgrade process. Sony OFW 3.70 UPDATE. CFW 3.55 KMEAW “NO CHECK” by dospiedra. Lv2Diag By Jaicrab.

Lv2Diag “FILE 2″ to go out of Service/Factory Mode. We need 2 HDD because the NOR flashes stores some parts of the current FW on the HDD so we will need 2 HDDs, one is for 3.55, and one is for 3.70. We will call those HDD “A” (for 3.70) and “B” (for 3.55) dont mix them up!

Starting with a PS3 Slim with OFW 3.70. Plug in HDD “B”, format and prepare it if it’s required by the PS3 and you should have your 3.70 up and running. DUMP your actual NOR and call it “original dump 3.70.bin”.

Ps3 service mode jig files - download free apps for my phone

Now flash your “downgrade.bin” (edited with the personal data found in “original dump 3.70.bin”). Turn on your PS3 and be sure that the PS3 is asking you to press the PS button (downgrade.bin flashed correctly ). Insert a 3.55 Downgrade dongle and enter factory/service mode. Copy Lv2Diag.self by Jaicrab and the 3.55 NO CHECK UPDATE renamed as “PS3UPDAT.PUP” in the root of your USB Stick. Plug in the USB Stick in the most-right USB port of your PS3 and wait for it to turn OFF. Leave the factory mode using the other Lv2Diag.self.

After the reboot, you need to configure and set up your system now you have a fully working 3.55 CFW based on KMEAW “NO CHECK”. DUMP your actual NOR and call it “swap dump 3.55.bin”.

Unplug HDD B and Plug in HDD A. Turn on your PS3, plug in your USB Stick containing official 3.70 update and press start+select when asked.

When the PS3 reboots, check that the system is fully working and DUMP your actual NOR and call it “swap dump 3.70.bin”. NOW IT’S OVER! You should have “swap dump 3.55.bin” and “swap dump 3.70.bin” Now you just have to swap HDD and flash the corrispondent dump: HDD A = swap dump 3.70.bin HDD B = swap dump 3.55.bin WARNING: Do not install other CFW than the “NO CHECK” one because it’s used to make the “fast-swap” working if you flash something different you will not be able to go between the 2 FWs. This CFW disable the Syscon checking at the startup so it will not freeze or complain when the syscon says “3.70″ and your FW is 3.55 WARNING: In case you wanna update your console with a future “3.80″ or-so firmware.

Do not update your console when you are running 3.55 firmware! You have to go to “swap dump 3.70.bin” and then update as usual (XMB or recovery) -By the way, the downgrade is confirmed working only on 3.70 we haven’t tested it on other FWs, you could loose the possibility to go back to 3.55! Ladies & Gentlemen finally we can remarry BD boards to different consoles!. The file was just posted over at DemonHades by one of the members (max1985).

Put these onto a blank usb stick (not the devusb folder, just it’s contents) & add a 2.30 PUP FILE!. Put in the servive mode dongle and get into factory service mode.

Put the newly created USB stick into port 0 (closest to the reader) and run. After you run the initial remarry process, do not take it out of factory service mode. Put a BD disc in and run it on the PS3. (This restores your DRL files!). The you can take it out of factory service mode. Launch as normal.

I have not done extensive testing yet, but have just remarried a BD board from a 60gig launch to a 40gig console. READ (IMPORTANT!) As with all new things, doing this totally at the end-user risk, people have not done any testing on this very risky firmware progress. But a couple of facts are, their may be different models which will NOT work at all, due to the fact some BD Drives are designed for Dual-Eye lasers vs. Single-Eye lasers, and IDE vs. SATA drive hookup. Also this most likely is only designed for the FAT 256mb NAND systems, as the 16mb NOR and Slim’s use a different drive board marriage system.

And finally DO NOT TRY THIS ON v3.56 consoles, as YOU CURRENTLY CAN’T EXIT SERVICE MODE! Spanish hacker JaicraB has released a patched LV2Diag.elf today. The signicance of this patched LV2Diag.elf is that it no longer looks for the Blu Ray drive on your PS3, so when downgrading/upgrading the PS3 firmware we no longer loose the BluRay playback functionality. It also allows those of you with a broken/missing BluRay drive to upgrade/downgrade your console firmware as well. Do NOT use this on firmware v3.56, it has known to cause many problems and get your PS3 stuck in service mode! Code: offset 0x3CF0 = 0x419E0044 offset 0x3C50 = 0x48000034 This allows you to skip the two functions related to the BD-Drive. Avoid the error and let the system continue to update.

Still not solved the problem without running Hombrews reader. I hope a solution comes soon. Yet the purpose of this is not piracy, but a step to the console without reader SCENE. USE Activate Service Mode.

Copy the root of the USB Lv2diag.self entered. Copy the root file update PS3UPDAT.PUP desired. Turn on the PS3 with the USB port inserted in 0 (the closest to the reader.) Wait until it turns off. Copy the STEP2 Lv2diag.self (not provided for me). Insert the USB port 0. Turn and go off within seconds. CLARIFICATIONS Needless to say, but just in case.

It is your responsibility. Compatibility is the same as the original Lv2diag.self. Lv2diag is a dangerous tool, to inform it. Psmaniaco Thanks for testing it! MD5 Hash: c0c3fa00d8ca49c8adb362 VIA via.

Well it’s done renowned iPhone hacker takes the Ps3 a level higher by jailbreaking the system and allowing.pkg files to run on firmware 3.55 yes that’s right homebrew on 3.55 is just around the corner. What Famous Geohot has done is that he has enabled the.pkg feature with a lv2diag.self after he has then signed the (NPRDM) self file and packaged it into a retail.pkg file without a signature. A file is then patched again on the flash so that it ignores the signature.

What this does is that it allows homebrew to run from the XMB without the signature. The video below demonstrates homebrew being ran on PS3 firmware 3.55: GEOHOT WEBSITE. Chris has informed us that he is creating and expanding on a application to help easily jailbreak or downgrade your PS3.

The app currently supports HTC HD2, but he is porting it to various other devices such as: Touch Pro 2, Touch Pro, Diamond, Diamond 2, Tilt 2 and Fuze. To quote: Hello everyone, Here is my app i have been working on. It will install all files to your sd card needed to jailbreak and downgrade your ps3 with your HD2. What the app does: This app will allow you to downgrade your firmware to any firmware you want. (PS3 Slim’s cannot go as far back as Fat Consoles.) The downgrade only works with FW’s up to 3.50. (If you have FW3.55 you are out of luck for now. Unfortunately there is no solution on the market nor in the community for that FW version.) This app will also allow you to patch your android build with all the files needed to jailbreak your ps3.(this will be changed real soon.) It also includes many payloads so u can use the one that best matches your needs.

Starcube from has written an excellent tutorial on how to convert a DEMO PS3 to a fully functional retail unit via PSGrade. Requirements: You will need the typical DGF (downgrade files) and a loaded, as well as a standard USB stick.

First, we need to be able to use the jig and to do so, we need the kiosk to not auto start when switch is flipped. You can use the public PSGrade (the only version out there, there is no special kiosk version) First do the following: Have a disc in the drive Turn off the power switch Turn it back on until you see the Blu-Ray light flash one or two times Turn it off at the power switch (in the back) Turn it on again at the power switch (in the back) Now, when you turn the power switch on, the PS3 will still be in standby mode, so we can act as if we are going to jailbreak the unit. Instead of a PSGroove hex, we’re going to use our dongle with the PSGrade hex.

Go about the normal procedure for jailbreaking, by pressing eject and power. The console will panic and shut down the first time.

When you turn it back on your controller should desync and the resolution will be super low. The vsh (XMB) for kiosk does not have the red box.

However, if you see the console is in low res and controller is not syncing until plugged in, then the unit is in factory mode. Now unplug the JIG and power down the console normally. Format a thumb drive to fat32 and make sure only lv2diag.self from the lv2diag 1 folder and ps3updat.pup are in the root of the thumb drive. Plug thumb drive into the usb port that is all the way to the right (if the console was laying down horizontally).

Now, just push the power button to turn on your PS3. You are going to see a black screen and your memory card light is gonna flicker for roughly 10 minutes until the process is done. The console will shut down on its own when it finishes, so don’t mess with it until it’s done. When the console finishes doing its thing, turn it back on and it will be in red box (service) mode.

Now, unplug the thumb drive and delete the 2 files you put in there. Then, put the lv2diag.self from lv2diag 2 folder and then plug it back into the same USB port, that it was in before. Once its plugged in, reboot the console. It will now finalize the install and turn it into a full blown retail. Enjoy =) -starcube.
